Transformational Addition

This home had had two previous, less than successful additions to it. The owner contacted us to redo the work and have the original section meld into the new in a cohesive design.

Project Cost: $500,001 - $750,000

The front facade was completely redesigned to make an organized design. This featured a projecting 2nd floor bay held up visually with two columns, a brick planter box set between the columns, and a higher brick skin that terminates at the sill of the 2nd floor windows.

This image shows the two previous renovations that did not work architecturally or functionally. This was the starting point for the redesign.

The kitchen is very functionally laid out, featuring an 'L' with an island, with a large pantry/double oven on the opposite wall.

The 'L' shape of the house creates the heavily landscaped outdoor fire pit area. The quad sliding door leads to the family room, while the windows on the left are off the kitchen (far left) and buffet built-in. This allows for food to be served directly from the house to the fire pit area.

The primary bedroom was completely rebuilt. This allowed a peaked ceiling to be integrated into the room that aligns with the Palladian windows. A bench/niche to the right of windows is at the opposite end of the short hallway to the primary bath.
