Facade Switcharoo

This vintage, but boring, 1950's home needed a thorough re-imagining. The facade was redesigned to be a much more modern version, complete with a series of multi-form massing intersections. The entry is defined by the horizontal element that laps over the vertical stone component. The glass facade is interrupted by the vertical stone tower. This gives the illusion of a full wall of glass but, because of the insulated stone section, is more energy efficient.
