This Dallas area client wanted residential architect Michael Lyons to design a somewhat formal French house. The house, with its symmetrical entry with stone massing is imposing yet inviting. Stone window accents unify the elevation to this Formal French custom home. The home was designed to meet ADA requirements to accommodate a wheelchair-bound son so that he can maneuver anywhere with ease. The owner’s 8-foot tall, decorated Christmas tree is stored in a hidden 7- foot square room behind a rolling shelf unit that acts as a door.
