This Dallas area couple loved the location of their Bluffview property and its huge trees but had outgrown their home and decided to tear down their existing residence and build a new one. Without a specific architectural style in mind, architect Michael Lyons designed an eclectic style home with forms and details interpreted from the clients’ wish list. The use of stone wainscoting and vibrant stucco color softens the scale of the large residence so it blends into the neighborhood of older homes. A front porch veranda with French doors allows for outdoor entertaining in the tree-shaded front yard. A balcony off the second floor game room provides a treehouse-like overlook to the dramatically sloping back yard with an infinity edge pool and fountain.
