KOI Fish Pond & Waterfalls

Largo Green (LG) designed & built a deep KOI pond with waterfalls. Client wanted it partially visible from above, & extending under the cover of the wood deck. LG dug a 4' deep shell, added liner & rebar, then thick concrete. LG built a small trickling waterfall concealed under deck, then a 2nd waterfall in front. Both created ample oxygen flow. Feeding colorful fish over the deck railing, was a treat, especially for children & guests.

View from the above wood deck. The pond extended back and under the deck for more than half its area. If you look very close at the top right corner, you may note the wire running along the rock cap stones. This was charged slightly to ward off curious and hungry raccoons.

LG designed the water fall to slowly drop cascading water into the pond. This didn't churn the water so much to cause cloudy or muddy conditions.

Can really see the waterfall drop in elevation. This is directly below the wood deck and stairs for easy feeding. The deep darker area above is set back under the wood deck. It has its own waterfall to keep the entire pond aerated.

The KOI pond set just under the far right deck with black railing. Visitors loved tapping the railing with the fish food can. There was never any delay in summoning the many friendly hungry fish from under the deck.
