This was an out-of-town job that luckily went off without a hitch. On the first visit, we met with the clients and took notes about their wants and needs for the space; on the second, we came back to take detailed measurements and further discuss the design. Over the next few months we held virtual meetings with our clients to present our design plan and then source the agreed upon furnishings, art, and accessories. Some of the pieces, such as the sofa, were custom and we had to wait for the dining table to arrive from Italy and then clear customs so there was a bit of waiting. As pieces became available we had them sent to a design delivery center in La Jolla that held them for us until installation day. The clients were on vacation during the two days of installation which was ideal so we could work steadily without interruption. We worked late into the night the first night and by sunset the next day we were fluffing the final pillow when our clients arrived at their front door. It was a fun scene of hugs and squeals and we realized all our hard work had been worth it. Our clients got an exciting reveal and we were able to leave feeling very satisfied with the transformation!
