The transformation of this beach house began with lightening and freshening the color palette.

The tan exterior was painted a crisp white, we removed shutters, replaced the garage door and updated the address numerals and entry light fixture. The flagstone in the front yard was replaced with decomposed granite and the hammock was replaced with a large, modern spherical-shaped white fountain.

Inside, we flipped the color palette by painting the taupe-colored walls white and the white doors taupe. We updated the door casing and baseboard to refresh the millwork.

The hall bathroom was gutted and received a full remodel including a curbless shower, a wall-mounted toilet, and an extra long shower niche to house plenty of shower products.

Storage was needed so where a freestanding buffet once stood in the living room, we used the space to create a custom built-in with open shelving above and closed storage below. The office, two bedrooms, kitchen, living room and en-suite bathroom were all refreshed as well.
