"Another Dimension" Mid-Century Modern Main Bathroom Remodel

This mid-century main bathroom remodel epitomizes timeless elegance and meticulous attention to detail. These clients' came back to us, after using us for their Kitchen remodel a few years prior with a desire to restore their main bathroom. The bathroom redesign mirrors the materials and design cues from the kitchen remodel, ensuring a cohesive style between the two spaces.

Relocating the toilet and shower created an entirely different feel for the bathroom, within the original footprint. The floor-to-ceiling Heath Ceramics subway wall tile sets the tone for the entire space, exuding sophistication and honoring the mid-century modern aesthetic. The floating vanity, crafted from warm walnut cabinetry, features dual sinks with wall-mounted sink faucets, seamlessly blending functionality with style. Terrazzo flooring adds design intrigue and is a nod to the Terrazzo flooring in the Kitchen.

The centerpiece of the project is the new shower-tub combo, boasting a frameless glass water splashguard, a tiled bathtub surround that continues the lines and texture of the shower walls, and a strategically placed vertical obscured glass window that bathes the space in natural light. A generously sized tiled niche enhances storage and convenience.

The stainless steel bathroom fixtures and hardware offer a sleek industrial contrast to the rest of the warm natural tones and materials used in the bathroom. To maximize space and create more needed storage, the new bathroom includes a utility storage cabinet near the toilet, which features green bypass doors, a true Mid-Century Modern design choice that echos the colorful bypass doors used in the Kitchen.

The new bathroom is a serene retreat that beautifully balances playfulness and peacefulness, gets beautiful afternoon light, and unifies the bathroom with the rest of the Mid-Century Modern home.
