With sunshine yellow, ocean blues, and patterns of waves and sand, this bright bathroom embraces the spirit of the bay and sailboats just outside its windows. The design embodies the passions of the clients, avid adventurers who travel around the world together by sailboat. While their existing bathroom featured incredible views of the bay, the couple wanted a more functional space with a contemporary, artistic aesthetic. The design had to be accomplished within the existing footprint, which presented significant challenges, on the 3rd level of an eclectic bayside home.

The imaginative architectural design details and skillful space planning of the new design maximize the compact space for shipshape appeal. A standout feature is the shimmering tile wall and floor meticulously custom designed with an intricate gradient of colors to evoke a sunlit ocean wave washing into the room. The new shower was built with a glass wall that incorporates a necessary structural column and allows for a luxurious amount of space while retaining a clean line of sight in the room. The medicine cabinet was thoughtfully planned to extend available storage while amplifying light and the illusion of space with its mirrored surface. This is a room that inspires carefree energy, a happy reflection of the seafaring life just outside its windows.
