Vibrant Pool Retreat
The new design of the bottom level of this modern home, which opens to a backyard pool with an amazing view, communicates the feeling of a “Palm Beach” resort with lots of open space and white surfaces and pops of vibrant tropical colors. A sliding Shoji-style door now makes it easy to choose privacy from the upper level or openness in the space.
The space was skillfully redesigned to take full advantage of every available sq. foot. After redesigning the area, it was possible to make the existing bathroom under the stairs significantly more spacious. The existing closet was removed and replaced with a built-in niche to encompass the kitchenette and wet bar.
After significant redesign of the space, the larger bathroom now accommodates a generous shower, important in a bathroom close to the pool. Clear glass doors keep the emphasis on the beautiful tile work while also increasing easy accessibility. The stunning wall of tile in a medley of green circles was designed as one continuous surface, making the space feel larger. The back wall was kept white to strengthen a feeling of openness.
