The island was too big and the overhang for seating too small.

Adding a decorative wood hood and removing the horizontal line of wall cabinets provided space to add the decorative tile that adds the "pop" to this elegant kitchen.

The peninsula needed to be reshaped and client wanted all new appliances and replace the white thermofoil cabinets Removing the pantry cabinet that was right of the fridge allowed room to center range top

Adding door panels to all appliances provides a clean crisp look. At the peninsula is a two drawer dishwasher. Angle power strip was added on side of peninsula to avoid cutting hole for an ugly receptacle plate.

The peninsula back panel was in a different finish to match cabinetry finish in the adjacent dining room. Removing the pantry that was once right of the fridge allowed for more counter space left/right of range top.

The brick wall was getting refaced w/drywall. There was too much unused space on the oven wall - 6" wide fillers left/right and unused space above the cabinets

Refinishing the brick wall with drywall, and adding taller cabinets for the wall of ovens provides the client with more storage and helps to enlarge the space visually by bringing the tall cabinets to the ceiling. Designer Patra Attig
Glass Globe Pendants
The range stayed in the same location, but moved so it could be center. Vertical linear glass mosaic tile adds the drama to the space. Interior Design done by Patra Attig

Hafele Magic Corner II pull out storage for a blind corner cabinet provides great storage access.

Cladding a 42" wide refrigerator with wood panels that match the cabinetry provides a clean look. If the fridge was not paneled it would take away from the tile work and the decorative hood.
