Mountain Rustic Bathroom

My Clients wanted a mountain feel and to achieve that I selected elements of wood and pebbles supported by warm grays colors that makes them feel like they are in the woods. My Clients wanted a Smart Home Bathroom and we implemented a Steam Shower with Chromotherapy features and speakers to play soothing music. This was a major remodel - moving doors and plumbing.

Freestanding Tub tile surround

By relocating the entrance to the walk in closet where the original shower was located provided the room to design a long double sink vanity. Their wish list was....living edge wood vanity top and a bathroom that can be their sanctuary to relax after a hard day at work and skiing.

This was the second vanity in the bathroom - not enough storage and counter space. The closet door was to the left - I repositioned it to the far right of this wall, where the original shower had been located. This allowed us to keep plumbing on this wall for cost savings and provided the space...

This is the new location for the shower. It is now located where the corner vanity was. This new location provided the space needed to design a large steam shower for my Clients to relax and recharge. They added surround sound and chromotherapy to enhance their shower experience

Bathing was important, and adding a luxurious freestanding tub was a must. We kept the tub in the same location - saving plumbing costs. To save additional costs by NOT having to install a Roman Tub Filler mounted from the floor - I suggested we create a platform to add a standard tub filler. We...

Too much wasted space with this tiled in tub. To keep costs down, we kept the new tub in this same location.

This is a closer look on how the post that supported the tub filler was wrapped with tile and using metal Schluter trim for the edges. The pebble mosaic helped to enhance the mountain feeling the Clients wanted when they would enter this bathroom.

We wanted the pebble mosaic tile to wrap around the base of the tub to feel like one is sitting in those natural hot springs we have around Colorado.

Cladding the wall and ceiling in the same material helped to make the shower have a serene feeling - by not adding too many different design elements. A ceiling mounted rain shower head was a must by the Clients.
