Mosaic Tiled Wall Around Window

The client did not like how the kitchen was framed by a 1/2 wall on the den side, and a 42" tall counter on the breakfast nook side, which allowed room for a small island. By removing those pediments, we had room to enlarge the island.

The wall left of DW extended out, as a 1/2 wall which did not provide room for a larger island. We removed that 1/2 wall.

This island was configured to provide the Client with her baking station. Plenty of drawers for all the accessories
White Island Cabinets With Decorative Posts
We installed a microwave on the side of the island, out of the main view of the kitchen upon entry, and close the the Chef, when cooking at his induction cook top
Lift Up Cabinet Above Fridge
Installing the tile up to the ceiling and around the window helped to fill in the space. Had the tile stopped below the window sill, it would have looked like the client ran out of money. More tile does add to the luxury feel.

Designing Cabinets To The Ceiling
The peninsula where the cook top is, had a 42" counter surface behind it. Client wanted a cleaner, full view into the breakfast nook. We accomplished that by NOT keeping the 42" tall counter top

The island was small, making it a lighter color then the wood cabinets allowed the island to quietly fit in.

The island had decorative door panels applied to side. Instead of cutting that panel for the outlet, we used an additional trim for the outlet
