Light and Airy Bath

The original bath in this home was spacious, however floor space was taken up by a huge whirlpool tub with stepped tub deck in a dated pink with just as dated brass fixtures. The laminate vanity countertops were beginning to lift and the sink and fixtures were also the same dated brass and pink of the tub. The white cabinetry was also dated and lacked warmth and visual appeal.

We replaced the whirlpool tub with a beautiful pedestal tub, enlarged the existing shower area and opened it up with a transom window and glass shower door. Warm cherry cabinets with a chestnut stain took the place of the nondescript white cabinets and crystal knobs and pulls, along with polished chrome fixtures bring in sparkle.

Cabinetry: Ultracraft Cabinetry, Mount Vernon door style, cherry with chestnut brown glaze, knobs and pulls from Cal Crystal, Vanity top, shower threshold and seat: Black Marinace polished granite, Shower Tile: Unicom Tuscany Beige, Shower Floor: Island Stone, "Pebbles" in Maluku Tan, Bathroom Floor Tile: Tracce Del Temp, "Bianco" 20 x 20
