White Hot Kitchen: These Cabinets are anything but Plain
While there is a vast array of cabinetry styles and colors available, we never get tired of white in all of its shades. With so many options available to embellish white, it will never really go out of fashion.
We recently completed this white kitchen in central Connecticut. These cabinets are painted a Dove White complemented by a Cherry island with a Nutmeg stain. The contrast between the island and perimeter cabinetry is classic, the furniture styling timeless, while the functionality of the remodeled space is all 21st century. Softly colored 12 x 24 inch porcelain floor tile lends sophistication and is a departure from traditional wood. Under cabinet lighting draws focus to an unusual basket weave backsplash and beautiful decorative mural over the gas range. Bronze hardware and appliance pulls, the “Bling”, bring the brown tones of both the island and tile to the white cabinetry. Granite countertops, in a color called River Bourdeaux, carries the whole look together with its meanderings of cream, brown, bronze and gray.
