After planning her hall bathroom and laundry room this homeowner decided to tackle her master bathroom. The bathroom was large but the fixtures didn’t suit her needs. The tub was oversized and the shower was too small. We framed and tiled a spacious neo-angle shower while retaining enough room for a comfortable tub. The new tub allowed more space for cabinetry. Installing the vanities on bun feet and bumping out the center section gives the feeling of a piece of furniture rather than built-in cabinetry. Additional storage was added with a counter top cabinet painted and then glazed to match the stain of the lower cabinets. A glass door keeps the piece feeling light and an interior outlet allows for lighting and plugging in small bathroom appliances. Porcelain tile on the walls and floor with stone and metal accents highlight the shower base and oil rubbed bronze fixtures. We achieved a more usable, beautiful bathroom for the client without changing the size of the room.
