This project was an extensive kitchen remodel. Our goal was to open up the space, maximizing storage and function. We added a large pantry with custom old-fashioned wood barn door, a peninsula with seating to divide the working part of the kitchen from the cozy sitting area, and a large island incorporating a bench for the kitchen table. High-end stainless steel appliances, with a separate space for the refrigerator and freezer, lent an air of luxury. Rough-sawn and stained wood beams added dimension and a sense of age along with the brick fireplace. Mixing colors and various wood stains fit the eclectic style of this room.
