Bedford, White Master Bath

This is the same home as "Bedford, Guest & Powder Baths." The homeowners came to us to remodel their outdated and uninspiring master, guest, and powder baths. The master bath became a vision in white and silver, between acres of astoundingly realistic marble-look porcelain tile and plentiful use of sparkling polished chrome. A warm gray vanity is a match for the veining in the tile. The homeowners no longer rush through their time in this bathroom.

This photo gives you a good view of the large format porcelain tile cladding some of the walls outside of the shower. It also appears on the wall behind the vanity and on the floor. The framing has to be absolutely plumb and straight to use tile this large, lest there be lippage at the tile edges...

We removed a massive built-in tub to replace it with this airy, sculptural egg-shaped acrylic tub. Large format porcelain tile covers the walls and floor; it is easier to care for than real marble and more durable. A small-scale one-piece toilet tucks shyly in behind the tub.
