Bedford, Transitional White and Cherry Kitchen

These homeowners came to us for a total rehab of their woefully outdated and inefficient kitchen, which lacked both storage and countertop space and was dominated by a heavy overhanging soffit. We removed the soffit, replaced their old partial-overlay oak cabinets with new full-access frameless cabinetry from Ultracraft that reaches all the way to the ceiling, and swapped worn-out laminate for stunning Blue Star granite. Substituting a bar height island with seating for the previous dinette added storage, a hiding place for the trash and recycling, and counter space at a comfortable height for the taller primary cook. We brightened the formerly dim, windowless space with recessed fixtures and undercabinet lighting, which bounces light off the white cabinets and sparkling glass tile backsplash.
