The homeowner came to us with her architectural plans for a beautiful lakeside luxury home. Her criteria for the kitchen: simple, casual, vintage and a lot of fun! The result was a kitchen design with all the requisite special touches - inset cabinets, colorful island, black honed tops, white subway tiles, glass knobs and chicken wire to bring a casual elegance with vintage flair.

The challenge was to incorporate the architect’s lovely special features - a large skylight off center, a breakfast nook, columns adjacent to the island and a large fireplace right behind the island. To maximize impact and space, taller cabinets were incorporated in most of the areas to allow for storage and display.
