Although limited in square footage, this urban style kitchen located in a western suburb of Chicago appears spacious through the use of material and finish selection and custom cabinet accessories.

The clean line design, both horizontally and vertically, allows the room to appear visually greater in size. By installing wall cabinets to the ceiling along with a rectilinear hood the space looks taller, while the rectangular backsplash and floor tiles “push” the walls out making this kitchen seem wide and open.

Additionally, the reflective materials selected add to the illusion of a large kitchen. Overall, this design is proven to be eye-catching and functional.
