1930's Blue & White Kitchen

This client had recently purchased a beautiful 1930s stone home in Jeffersonville, PA, but their kitchen and laundry room did not fit their lifestyle. They desired a more functional layout with a larger space, enhanced storage, and a true mudroom with the same finishes as the kitchen. They were referred to Custom Craft by one of our valued longtime clients.
To achieve the client’s goal of having a more spacious kitchen, we moved the laundry room to the second floor and leveraged that space to enlarge the kitchen’s footprint with a mudroom with sink and storage. We had to “build up” the floor since the rooms were different levels. This allowed us to enclose the full depth refrigerator and add a lovely beverage center.

Additionally, there was an unused stairway next to the main stairs, so we created a wonderful pantry in the kitchen and a storage closet upstairs. We relocated and enlarged the doorway into the Dining Room for more casual entertaining and a better flow between. The old laundry room is now a charming Butler’s Pantry/Mudroom in the same finishes as the Kitchen.

Some of the modern finishes we used included glacier paint for the cabinetry, calacatta botanica quartz for the countertops and window sills, and luxury vinyl flooring.
These homeowners were extremely pleased with the renovation and they love spending time in their new space.
