First Floor Renovation in Blue Bell

Pleased with our work on another project, a client in Blue Bell recently had us return to renovate their first floor. The work encompassed the kitchen, as well as the adjoining family room, powder room, laundry and staircase. Their goals for the renovation were to make the entire space more attractive and functional for entertaining, as well as everyday life.

Shades of white, blue, and gray were used on the counters and cabinets to give the kitchen a cool, breezy feel. The stainless steel appliances compliment the color palette, while the warm wood tones of the flooring help to ground the space.

Our client's former kitchen was quite cramped. The reconfigured layout resolved the congestion and the white perimeter cabinetry and backsplash reinforce the spacious feel of this kitchen.

The tile vignette above the range was done with Daltile Antico Harlequin shaped tiles in a complimentary shade of blue called Heaven Crackle.

The marble topped island features an overhang for seating, making the kitchen island an ideal place to eat a quick meal, or watch morning news on the television we installed above the cabinetry.

Their new laundry now has ample storage space for cleaning supplies, plus convenient hooks for hanging bags and backpacks. The walls were painted an earthy Sherwin Williams flat called Neutral Ground (SW-7568). On the floors we used Daltile's 18 x 18" Continental Slate in Tuscan Blue.

To compliment the rest of the first floor, the staircase was updated in this process as well. We replaced the worn carpeting with hardwood treads stained the same Autumn Leaf as the flooring.

A popular feature in this kitchen remodel is the vertical spice drawers we placed next to the range. These drawers greatly simplify meal preparation by placing the necessary spices and condiments within easy reach of the cook.

New appliances like the under counter beverage refrigerator, and the Miele built in coffee making system have improved the functionality of the kitchen, making it much more conducive to entertaining family and friends.
