Entire House Renovation

This North Wales Pa. residence is home to a busy family of five. Their cramped kitchen and living areas weren’t conducive to their active lifestyle. The homeowners felt they were “only really living in a small portion of the home,” and the unused space outweighed what the family did use. The homeowners’ main goals in this renovation were to redesign the first floor living space so that it could be better utilized, and also to create a space on the second floor to relax and unwind after a long day. The family was looking for a stylish yet relaxed look for their remodel, and also desired more storage space. “Functionality” and “practicality” were the two words floating around during the planning stages.

With these objectives in mind, the team at Custom Craft devised a solution to repurpose existing space by redesigning the kitchen, living room, and dining room areas to improve the flow of traffic between rooms. Appliances were updated to fit the new, modern design. The first floor powder room and laundry room were also remodeled. In order to create the new kitchen, the team claimed space from the seldom used living room and front dining room. Existing walls were knocked down in favor of a more modern, open, and inviting space.
