Integrating office space into a home can be a challenge; however, done successfully, it can accommodate a wide variety of functions from the business of running a household to full-time employment. For this renovation project, the homeowners needed a little bit of both. A spare room on the first floor turned out to be a perfect fit.

The new office space features custom built-in cherry bookshelves and storage cabinetry. A new bay window was installed to add natural light to the room, making the space more comfortable to work in. Below the bay window are two long file cabinet drawers for organized storage. An obscure glass entry door was installed to create some privacy and separation from the adjacent family room.
