Kitchen dining nook is the ideal spot to work from home
Our clients enjoy preparing home cooked meals and baking frequently. Their goal was to create a bright, traffic free space that eliminated collisions and made meal preparation a more pleasurable experience. We also helped them to eliminate counter clutter by adding extra storage throughout.
Pennisula island with prep sink and dish washer
With two granite topped islands, they now have sufficient work space to accommodate multiple cooks in the kitchen. The under counter storage helps to keep clutter to a minimum. In this photo, you can see the clever bookshelves we created for storing the homeowners prized cookbooks.

For ease of access, we mounted the microwave under the counter of the island. This photo also does a wonderful job of showcasing the gorgeous, hand-sculpted, solid maple 5" plank hardwood flooring. (Try to say that last sentence five times fast. Whew.)

One of our client's favorite features of this kitchen are the vertical spice racks that flank the range. To add some flourish, we hid the drawers behind these turned table legs. Each has a discrete finger pull at the top to make opening and closing these custom cabinets a breeze.
