Au Soleil d’Or Farm

The new bank barn of the farm “Au Soleil d’Or” French meaning “At the golden sun” was a reconstruction of an antique barn. The barn is located on a 4-acre property with a fully restored 19th century house and new garage, gardens and horse pastures. Once used for drying tobacco in western Pennsylvania’s Armstrong County the bank barn now houses the owner’s beloved horses as well as loft space for entertaining guests. The antique barn frame was reconstructed on new stone walls with brick arches, white oak windows and doors and hand forged metalwork. A stone ramp with a brick barrel pass-through and new site walls were constructed to create the enclosure of gardens and separation between house and pastures
