Recording Studio
This new bank barn structure is used to house and maintain vehicles on the lower level while a high-tech performance/recording studio with state of the art acoustics occupies the upper level. Designed to resemble the 18th century bank barns that dot the rolling hills of eastern Pennsylvania, the massive curved wood timbers, exposed roof beams, and configuration of the interior space provide an ideal environment for superior acoustics and an inspirational setting for composing, recording, and listening to music.
The structure was built into the hillside utilizing stone at the garage level, cypress board and batten siding, mahogany carriage garage doors, and cedar roof materials, all selected to age with grace and keep the elements at bay for many years.
