The original house was built around the 50s with a poor interpretation of the modern style with flat roofs, small windows and an odd arrangement of spaces. The client’s were inspired by the beauty of a Pennsylvania Country House. Archer & Buchanan Architecture worked to design substantial additions and renovations with understated allusions to the country house in fitting within the original house with an open plan to connect the family with each other and the outdoors.
