A dream project! Our client lives a youthful and casual lifestyle, hence the desire for the main living room space to be more of an entertainment-game-room space. The client wanted us to create an entry area separate from the dining space. A private elevator opened onto existing dining space. We needed to resolve circulation issues between dining & living space. They wanted us to maximize storage throughout the unit. They wanted us to create combined office & lounge area connected to centrally located kitchen. We needed to open up the staircase to the office/lounge area-adding new railings & balusters for a more modern feel. We inlaid marble into the exiting wood flooring. We added custom cabinetry throughout the unit-living room, dining room, office/lounge area & entry. We added 2 sets of 9’ French doors between the living room/dining room/entry to create symmetry & improve circulation. Before this there was only 1 set of much under scale doors. The kitchen breakfast nook circular banquettes are custom as well as the dining room table, the office work table, the blue window seats, the pool table, and the swivel chairs.
