Our client, a family of 4, has a huge classic NYC loft space. The client wanted to create a 3rd bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and create a multi-functional space for an office & a guest bedroom without losing natural light. They wanted to increase the kitchen size and utilize open shelving for avid cooks/easy access. We created symmetry in the living room by moving a wall & adding a column. We designed extensive storage space for this family. We installed glass & steel doors & an additional door was added into the hallway. We exposed the beams in the unit. We leveled the concrete floor and added wood flooring. A whole new HVAC system was installed. There were immense challenges given the space is in a multi-unit building.
