Townhouse Renovation

Our client hired us to update and furnish his living room, master and guest bedroom. The client asked us to “remove the contractor-spec-house feeling” from his living room. We created rift-cut oak wall panels in a seamless design while working with an existing large TV and soundbar sitting above the fireplace. Also we carefully used proportion and scale in the geometry of the wall panels so that they would be balanced, and your eye would easily, fluidly travel around the space. We added a new stone fireplace surround to add warmth and depth to the otherwise neutral palette (lots of cool color tones). We increased the proportions of the stone surround so that the scale of the stone was better balanced with the TV and we removed a white wood mantel. Our client wanted the master bedroom to be a tailored, masculine space-he preferred neutral, warm tones and grays with lots of texture. We sourced all furniture, wallpaper and light fixtures for him. The wallpaper, bed and cowhide rug took center stage. Also, the client wanted the guest bedroom to act as a fun, gallery-like space with personality. He requested that this room showcase funky furniture pieces and insisted that “function” was a lower priority than “form”. The client wanted the space to be bold. We sourced all furniture, paint and light fixtures.
