Design concept for this 3-story residence was inspired by a forest viewing station for park rangers or biologists.
Since the existing terrain slopes down sharply into a valley bellow, the house was positioned to take advantage of amazing views down bellow as well as to the ocean on a horizon, prevailing winds, sunrise, sunset and maximum use of solar power while preserving privacy for its inhabitants.
House is designed as a concrete shell on the first level, following with concrete frame above with steel deck floating above the valley.
