The challenge of this project: making the kitchen more open-concept and modern, but not too modern. We removed two small doorways to make the room the focal point of the home, and installed a large island to free up space and make eating areas more interactive. Glazed maple and MDF cabinetry, combined with modern appliances and black pendant lights, keep the kitchen’s traditional style without the risk of looking dated.
