4 Level River Townhome

Stunning 4 story townhome on the North Branch of the Chicago River which includes sweeping south views of the city. The location is so special and fortunately the developer laid out the corner home to embrace the views. Seller is original owner and many of the decisions made in 2000 are deemed 'dated'. Not in a position to take up floors, re-orient floor-plans and gut the kitchen and baths, the seller is hoping the beautiful views will capture the hearts of the perfect buyer. First step was to take down the view-blocking drapes, lighten up some of the rooms that had very dark paint colors and bring in just the right amount of furniture, art, accessories and lighting to show off each space.

The seller had a massive Stickley hutch which was sold. The space was too tight for a table but we didn't want to leave it blank. A file cabinet was repurposed from another room serves as a wonderful bar for entertaining guest.

Neutralizing the walls and ceiling was the first step. Could I have amped up this space and made it more spa-like? Sure. But showing clean spaces, light and views also works!
