West Bucktown Duplex-Down

Seller had only neutral tones of beige and brown, no art on the walls, limited lighting and family room with an out-dated fireplace (square cut-out above granite-faced gas fireplace) and wanted to create a happy place that would get top dollar.

Swapped out the second, matching couch that faced the windows with a pair of low-profile, neutral chairs that let window be focus.

the before was a black granite fireplace with a cutout above for a square TV. I recommended filling in the box with drywall, adding the brick façade and the Billy bookshelves are from IKEA with crown molding and extra trim.

seller only had neutral colors but we added bright pillows and art to make family room more lively.

super family room as it presented so many options for a variety of activities. We added the black table and chairs, art and accessories and set up the child's table nearby as well.

This room turned out as a super multifunctional space when we placed the bed on the window wall and added a desk on the opposing wall with the treadmill. What is not shown is the TV on the wall between the door and the closet. I added lamps and accessories and rehung the art.

Had a tea towel that I popped into a Target frame and called it 'art'. Complemented the great paint color perfectly.

this home was unique in that it had two mudroom options and the family enjoyed both equally well. The owner had already sourced the bench and the organizational system above.

what a difference baskets make!! Owner invested in the attractive, dark, matching baskets in time to get pictures done to go on market. Buyers in this price point were wowed with such an attractive, functional laundry room!!

We take outdoor spaces where we can get them! rainy day but the space is covered and accessories are used sparingly.

seller had 10' ceilings in basement so we hung shelves above walk-out for extra storage and simple coat hooks for easy access. Did not impact in-out. We also chance out lighting from simple flush mount to track for a brighter area
