Boulevard Oaks is a whole-house renovation in Houston's Museum District for a young couple. Cravotta Interiors first designed the wife's parents'; home fifteen years earlier, and the family came back for their own house: a three-story 1930s home with good bones, a serious art collection, and just over eight feet of ceiling height. Rather than open everything up, the design leans into the low ceilings as the organizing idea. The house went down to the studs, keeping the original wood floors and kitchen cabinets.
