Maverick is a restaurant in San Antonio's historic Southtown and King William neighborhood, designed by Cravotta Interiors with Chris Sanders Architecture. Set in a historic building and seating 220, it was conceived as a Texas brasserie drawing on the owner's favorite rooms across western Europe. The plan runs through five spaces: a main dining room and bar, a semi-private dining room set off by a Cravotta-designed wine cage and an antique stained-glass window, a sunny garden room suited to brunch, and patio dining that ties the restaurant to its historic block. The garden room pairs concrete floors with the wood-fired grill just beyond the kitchen wall.
