Deep Eddy is a new-construction home Cravotta Interiors designed with Barley & Pfeiffer Architecture and builder Risinger. The clients downsized from a larger Westlake house to a simple home they could lock and leave, blocks from Austin's running trails. The brief was modern and high quality but casual, with pops of color. The living room centers on a dark wood-clad fireplace wall with a granite surround and a linear burner. A gloss-painted wood ceiling sits above weathered gray oak floors, a custom rug designed by Cravotta, lounge chairs by Caste Design, and art by Stella Alesi. A screened porch opens off the back.
