Rabb Road is a West Austin residence for an entrepreneur who divides his time between Austin and Aspen. The brief was a lock-and-leave home: understated, effortless, with quality that does not announce itself. Two things were non-negotiable, a serious art collection and an audiophile-grade listening room, and both were treated as primary design concerns rather than accommodated afterward. The interior mixes pieces Cravotta designed for the house with small-maker furnishings chosen for how they were built. The dining room centers on a custom table by Jeff Martin Joinery under an Apparatus Studio chandelier, with Phillip Jeffries wallcovering and a custom neon Luchador sculpture by Roadhouse Relics.
