For the inaugural Dallas Kips Bay Show House, Cravotta Interiors designed a room called the Hi-Fi Lounge. Given a windowless converted space, the design doubled down on the absence of natural light and made the room intentionally dark and immersive, an experience of sight, sound, and scent. Wall-to-wall sisal in dark chocolate meets dark wood chevron walls and a woven Belgian linen ceiling, both by Phillip Jeffries. A cluster of Apparatus Studio fixtures hangs overhead, lounge chairs are by Jiun Ho, and handmade audiophile speakers are by A For Ara. The custom rug is by Kyle Bunting, with a steel and glass bar by Christophe Come and a leather and steel swing by Jim Zivic.
