St. Cecilia is one of seven private residences at the St. Cecilia Residences on South Congress in Austin, designed by Lake/Flato Architects and set beside the MICHELIN Key Hotel Saint Cecilia. The brief was three words: dark, moody, sexy. The clients came in with a vivid point of view and no interest in compromise, in a small space and with total commitment. Porter Teleo hand-painted wallpaper wraps the living room and bedroom, and French oak floors carry the mood through every room. Carolyn Ray hand-painted the sheer drapes for this project. The bedroom is anchored by a Jiun Ho bed and chandelier, and hand-blown glass by Jeremy Maxwell Wintrebert recurs through the rooms. The dining area sets a Cravotta-designed table and an ochre mohair banquette under a JMW Studio glass fixture, with glove-leather chairs by Christophe Delcourt.
