This project reimagined the room as a comfortable and practical bunk space tailored for the homeowners’ 13-year-old son, with flexibility for future grandchildren. Custom built-in bunks with full-size mattresses optimize sleeping capacity while discreetly hiding existing ceiling hardware. Each bed includes a recessed nook with its own sconce and outlet for reading and charging, plus drawer storage underneath. A built-in desk paired with a bookcase forms a warm, functional area for studying and media use. Bathroom enhancements were designed to preserve privacy while still allowing natural light to flow through. Clever storage options, a beadboard ceiling accent, and streamlined built-ins add both charm and functionality to the room.
