Peninsula Point Kitchen
The main objective of the extensive kitchen remodel was to double the size by removing a load bearing wall between the former kitchen and dining room. It was also important that this space was truly a kitchen made for entertaining. Gourmet appliances, including a 72” La Cornue range and rotisserie, full sized Subzero refrigeration, wine cooler, dishwasher, convection microwave, two sinks and a coffee station were worked into the design. Two islands were necessary to split up the space into zones, one for prep and one for clean up and casual seating.
We utilized custom cabinets in a custom navy finish to create efficient storage solutions throughout. Drawer accessories and the the narrow glass from cabinets to display the clients’ collection of stemware are some examples.
The existing floor tile and carpeting was replaced with genuine reclaimed barn board to soften the space and add a modern French country feel. Honed Calacutta Gold marble counters with 3" mitered edges on the islands create a beautiful work surface. The La Cornue range and rotisserie were custom formulated to match the label on the
Veuve Clicquot Champagne bottle – the couple’s favorite.
The mixture of light and dark, sleek and rustic, bright and neutral creates a truly unique space that will remain relevant for years to come.
