Hardly any of this main floor went untouched. This modular home once held an indoor pool where the new kitchen now stands, and had undergone many poor renovations over the years.
The main wall separating what is now the kitchen and living room was where the two sides were attached. Removing the wall required a 20' steel beam. The mudroom and kitchen (on opposite ends of the home) were flip flopped to give this client the open concept plan they desired. An air return and water heater were relocated to open up the living room and foyer.
The result is an open space where this young family is just as comfortable in their day to day living as they are entertaining larger groups of people. The kitchen is much larger and more efficient than what they had previously. Light, classic finishes are durable and ensure this space will stay relevant for many years.
