These clients have a great backyard, but didn't have enough shade in the summertime to really enjoy it. We built a screened porch on their existing deck wired for ceiling fancs and lighting so they could enjoy the space year round. An added bonus - the screen sections are removable for maintenance, replacing, or painting.
