The massive 32’ x 48’ concrete pool has a gently sloping beach entry running the full width. It has a large shallow portion which is ideal for pool games and a 10’ deep end that tempts courageous bathers to jump off the elevated artificial rock structure.

This image shows the sloping beach entry and premium Pebble Brilliance Aqua Falls interior with colourful glass beads and exposed aggregate providing a smooth durable finish. It is surrounded by custom black granite coping and a Rubaroc deck.

At the shallow end the poolside lounge area with large TV and twin barbecue kitchens caters to the needs of healthy appetites. The pool is conveniently located just outside the home’s twin kitchens and dining areas.

The striking focal point is the massive artificial rock formation created by Rockscapes of Guelph. The steps lead up each side to a custom Betz spa, a waterslide entrance and the centre archway with Muskoka chairs above the grotto waterfall.

The artificial stone passageway shows the removable safety netting over the entrances to the two water slides. The archway in the middle leads to the two chairs that overlook the pool. The Rockscapes are realistically cast from actual stone.

The two chairs above the 6.5’ wide grotto waterfall is a great place to take in the action while remaining dry. The owners have made good use of artificial vines and flowers which have been artfully added along with deadwood stumps.

Each waterslide delivers excitement and drama with flickers of light interspersed with sprays of water shooting out of the walls of the tunnel. This is in addition to the volume of water in the tunnel that swooshes bathers towards a splash landing.

This project is a celebration of plumbing. The pool has two filtration systems, plus one for the in-floor cleaning system. Each spa has three pumps, each slide has a tunnel pump plus a waterfall pump. The main waterfall has a 5 hp pump, for a total of 14 pumps!
