Infinity Pool for Ultra Modern Home
This modern home overlooking Ramsey Lake in Sudbury is a design/build project by the Landmark Group of Thornbury. It is a testament to the elegant simplicity of modern design. The clean lines of the Betz infinity pool and spa provide the finishing touch to the innovative and highly energy efficient “BONE Structure” steel-construction-method home.
The view looking North over Ramsey Lake highlights the dramatic vistas possible when separate bodies of water appear to merge and extend to the horizon. The custom 17 x 29 zero edge concrete pool and 8 x 8 perimeter overflow spa work together beautifully to create that effect.
The pool’s negative edge is accomplished with a small tempered glass wall running the full width. When the spa is not in use, water continuously pumps into it from the pool, where it sleekly spills over like a wall of glass on all fours sides. The water then flows from the pool over the spill wall and collects in a trough below before being recirculated.
