Fawnwood Master En Suite Remodel
This en suite bathroom remodel in Wichita, Kansas transformed the master bathroom into a calm, spa-inspired space with a zero-entry shower, heated tile floor, quartz surfaces, updated lighting, custom storage, and accessibility-minded details.
Wichita Home Works’ in-house design team helped plan the new bathroom layout, shower configuration, pony wall, linen cabinet, finish selections, lighting updates, heated floor system, and functional details so the space would feel more open, comfortable, and tailored to the homeowner’s needs.
The project included removing the existing tub, shower surround, tile flooring, countertop, backsplash, plumbing fixtures, toilet, mirror, vanity light, and the wall between the tub and shower. The new layout created a larger shower with a pony wall, framed linen cabinet area, and added blocking for grab bars and towel hooks.
The shower features a zero-entry design, New Belfont hex mosaic shower floor tile, Emser Catch Gloss Gray wall tile, brushed nickel drain, stainless Delta shower fixtures, raincan shower head, slide bar hand shower, and a clear heavy-glass splash panel centered on the pony wall. Stratus Ranier quartz was used for the vanity countertop, window ledge, and pony wall cap to create a clean, coordinated finish.
The bathroom floor was upgraded with Ditra Heat underlayment, a heated floor system, Malta Oro 12x24 tile, and matching bullnose tile used in place of traditional baseboards. The existing vanity was refreshed with a new quartz countertop, two undermount sinks, Delta Dryden stainless faucets with touch technology, new vanity lighting, and updated mirrors.
A custom poplar linen cabinet was site-built below the new soffit and includes raised panel doors, a pull-out laundry hamper, and pull-out shelves. Additional details included a new ADA-height toilet, heated towel rack, stainless grab bars, towel hooks, fresh Reflection White wall paint, Pure White cabinet paint, and final touch-ups.
