This remodeling project won a 2018 Gold Master design award from Remodeler Magazine. The character of this house was completely changed by the addition of a new roof, a formal entry porch, and a few new windows. The original house roof was filled with dormers. Several dormers were removed to make space for a large gambrel roof to cover and give importance to the entrance. The roof pitch was steepened to increase attic head height and give the roof more prominence. Though few interior architectural changes were made, a conscience effort was made to increase the quality of the materials used.
